As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking an Engineering Student for our Atlantic Canada District, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that is available for 4 months starting September 2025, to work in Halifax, NS.As an Engineering Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:ResponsibilitiesConducting trade quote reviews – verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.Conducting deficiency walks.Inputting/Updating deficiency logs.Issuing warranties.Taking/Coordinating progress photos.Updating, coordinating, and producingdrawings.Performing quantity takeoffs.Coordinating and supervising sub-trade work.Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings.Setting-up/Maintaining record keeping.Updating project schedules.Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades.QualificationsWorking towards a degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field preferred.A passion for working in a construction environment.Experience with the application of various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.Self-motivated with a hands-on approach.Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.PCL is an innovative, employee-owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
