To ensure that our purpose is front and centre in all we do, we have refreshed our name to Financial Planners under the Scotia Financial Planning team within our Global Asset Management Division.As a Financial Planner, you will focus on developing and deepening client relationships by providing high quality advice and service within the mass affluent market. You will leverage your external networks and centres of influence to grow a practice, building new and long-term relationships. Your clients are your greatest asset, and your priority is providing investment and financial planning advice to help them meet their goals. You will meet clients outside of the office when needed and work within the Scotiabank framework to benefit both your clients and your practice.Following a comprehensive financial planning framework, you will drive investment sales and new client acquisition while adhering to Global Sales Principles, compliance and regulatory requirements. You will establish business development opportunities with prospects and clients within the assigned market area.Is this role right for you?ResponsibilitiesPromote the development and sustainable growth of proprietary investment business in the assigned market area.Business Development: Execute on business development plans for prospects and existing clients within the mass affluent market. Identify additional opportunities and facilitate the implementation of an investment solution and/or referral to appropriate partners.Client-Centric: Provide client-centric investment solutions through a financial planning framework, align with Global Sales Principles. Conduct outbound communications and proactive calling to prospects, and perform complimentary needs analysis across several financial statements.Community Involvement: Actively participate in local professional and community events to expand your network.
