Posting No.: 126512 Closing Date: December 4, 2025 Job Profile Under the general direction of the Community Centre Coordinator, the Community Centre Liaison supports planning, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of community programs and services to enhance community wellbeing and support the volunteer Community Centre model in Winnipeg. As The Community Centre Liaison, You Will Serve as the primary liaison between City of Winnipeg and Community Centre boards and staff. Support compliance related to the Universal Funding Formula (UFF) for Community Centres. Provide operational support regarding facilities, adjacent athletic fields and spaces under the Centres stewardship. Facilitate communication with other City departments and support Community Centres with major maintenance and capital improvement projects. Coordinate and provide technical expertise on community demographics, needs assessments, and responsive programming. Ensure continuous and consistent communication with Community Centres and contribute to divisional work and special projects. Your Education and Qualifications Include Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, recreation management, community development, political science, public administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) years of diverse and progressive experience in administration and management of public services, preferably in municipal government. One (1) year of experience in non‑profit administration, board governance, grant program applications, volunteer coordination, and partnership building. Strong political acumen and leadership skills with inclusive customer service, active listening, empathy and problem‑solving. Effective analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills under minimal supervision. Ability to interpret, apply and educate on City of Winnipeg by‑laws, regulations and policies. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels, external contacts and the public. Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Office365, SharePoint and other relevant software applications. Preferred ability to communicate in French. IMPORTANT: Applicants educated outside Canada must have education comparable to the minimum qualification in Canada and provide an official academic assessment report from a recognized Canadian assessment service. Conditions of Employment Maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. Provide a satisfactory Police Information Check (including Vulnerable Sector) at your expense. Must possess a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License and provide proof of maintenance. Provide a vehicle for transportation while on City business, subject to the City’s Transportation Policy.
