Your Role at SafelyYou As a Technical Product Manager at SafelyYou, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our product portfolio. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams and overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from gathering requirements to product delivery and adoption. The focus will be on technical-leaning projects - Hardware/IoT, Fleet Management, Networking/Monitoring, Internal systems. Your technical expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and project management abilities will be essential in achieving our growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy and Planning Support the Product team and stakeholders in defining the product vision, goals, and roadmap aligned with business objectives Analyze customer/internal needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape to inform product strategy Prioritize features and enhancements using data-driven insights and business impact Requirement Gathering and Analysis Conduct research to identify internal and external customer and market requirements Translate needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align requirements with technical and operational feasibility Agile Project Management Act as the voice of the customer, converting feedback into actionable user stories and product features Own and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing based on business value and customer impact Partner with Scrum Masters and Technical Leads to plan and execute successful sprints Assume the Product Owner role for the Fleet and hardware teams ensuring specifications are “ready” and milestones are met Monitor progress, identify risks early, and work to resolve blockers Continuously gather feedback to iterate on product features and improve quality and satisfaction Stakeholder Management Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, marketing, and operations Communicate product updates, milestones, and progress clearly to ensure alignment and transparency Collaborate with customer success to gather insights and identify improvement opportunities Product Launch and Adoption Contribute to the development and execution of go-to-market plans in coordination with marketing and sales Support onboarding, training, and adoption efforts in collaboration with customer success Track product usage and engagement metrics, and lead initiatives to improve adoption and overall product value What You’ll Do 40% defining and writing requirements in collaboration with engineering 30% leading product/feature launches and measuring product impact 30% tracking project status and stakeholder engagement The Ideal Candidate Required technical background and ability to understand complex technical concepts, especially in: hardware/IoT, fleet management, networking systems/monitoring Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Technical Product Manager or in a similar role, engaging with both large and small engineering teams Proven ability to manage and optimize distributed systems and ensure seamless communication between physical devices, IoT sensors, and cloud infrastructure Hands-on experience with integrating IoT-enabled hardware, managing cloud infrastructure, and overseeing distributed monitoring systems for fleet operations Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize fleet performance through effective product development and continuous iteration of hardware and monitoring systems Prioritization & Backlog Management: Expertise in managing product backlogs and prioritizing tasks related to hardware systems and infrastructure, ensuring timely delivery of critical features that improve fleet performance Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field or equivalent practical experience; A masters degree is a plus Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines Experience in the senior living, healthcare or technology industry is a plus Why Join Us?
