JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Francis of Assisi School is seeking a 0.6 part-time bookkeeper for the 2024-25 school year .
Bookkeeper Responsibilities Include:
Managing accounts payable and receivable with precision Conducting full general ledger accounting to ensure financial accuracy Administering payroll and maintaining meticulous financial records Generating monthly financial reports for the Education Committee Performing monthly bank reconciliations and overseeing cash flow administration Providing support for year-end accounting and audit preparation Implementing financial control measures to maintain compliance and accuracy Releasing monthly tuition payments through BMO Generating invoices for the school and after-school club Producing T4s, yearly tuition receipts, and tax receipts Serving as a liaison for staff benefits and pensions Collaborating with the Parent Education Committee (PEC) on fundraising initiatives Providing monthly reports to the PEC to track progress and outcomes Assisting in the preparation of preliminary and final budgets Calculating the yearly "magic number" for financial planning purposes Facilitating weekly bank deposits and managing payroll deductions
