OverviewAccounts Payable Clerk – permanent full-time role in Campbell River. DOE compensation. Robert Half is seeking a new permanent full-time Accounts Payable Clerk for a world-leading salmon farming company with over 3500 employees across Chile, Canada and Norway.As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will receive and process purchasing correspondence, complete data entry invoices for cheque runs, research account activity, deal with vendors, reconcile statements, troubleshoot billing problems, and perform other accounting duties as assigned.Key AccountabilitiesReview, sort and match vendor invoices to purchase orders, ensure pricing and post vendor bills in a timely mannerPerform cheque runs, wire transfers and EFT paymentsMaintain the accounts payable inbox to process and reconcile vendors’ statements and invoicesLiaise with all departments to handle and resolve AP inquiriesSet up new vendorsProcess employee expense reportsMaintain filing system for Accounts Payable teamRespond to vendor enquiries regarding the status of paymentPro-actively contribute to and implement continuous improvement initiativesPerform other accounting projects as required by managementQualificationsYour Position Requirements :Post-secondary education is desired, preferable with accounting coursesMinimum 1-2 years accounts payable or accounting experienceDetailed orientedProficient knowledge Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft ExcelExceptional organizational and prioritization skillsSelf-motivated, has a positive attitude and a results-oriented approach to businessDemonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environmentRewardsA competitive salary and a corporate bonus program.Company paid benefits including Extended Health Care, BC Medical Services Plan, Dental and Vision Care, AD&D Insurance.
