We are hiring a Part‑time Radiological Technologist, Interventional Angiography at Surrey Memorial Hospital. You will report to the Supervisor and Site Coordinator and practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice while providing client‑ and family‑centered care. The role involves performing interventional/angiography procedures and diagnostic radiographic examinations, following safety protocols, and supporting the radiologist and the department’s workflow. Education, Training and Experience Certification with the CAMRT. A minimum of two (2) years of recent, related experience in interventional radiography or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Responsibilities Perform interventional and angiography procedures, complete requisitions and related paperwork, enter patient information into the radiology information system, and coordinate clinical history with imaging. Assist the radiologist during body and neuroangiography, percutaneous nephrolithotripsy, and radiofrequency ablations, acting as circulation and scrub support. Monitor patients for contrast media reactions or other emergent situations, performing CPR when required. Image studies using radiography equipment, verify patient identification, and request prior studies. Facilitate workflow in the work area by managing requisitions, regulating inpatient exam times, and coordinating porters. Conduct quality‑control duties, schedule equipment tests, record results, and report malfunctioning equipment. Participate in continuous quality improvement/LEAN programs and perform quality assurance checks. Maintain the work area and supplies, monitoring depletion and notifying the supervisor. Demonstrate equipment usage to staff and participate in training new employees. Maintain patient and hospital records by entering data into relevant information systems. Respond to inquiries from other clinical areas and refer concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Determine workload measurements, compile statistical reports, and recommend service improvements. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control rules and update staff on changes. Participate in approved research and special projects with the supervisor. Maintain equipment and arrange for maintenance and repairs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of theory, practice, and standards for general radiology, angiography, and interventional procedures, including evidence‑based practice. Aseptic technique knowledge and safe work procedures with imaging equipment. Proficiency in IR techniques and equipment use. Familiarity with PACS and radiology information systems. Research methodology knowledge. Effective communication with clients, families, physicians, and staff. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, plan and prioritize workload. Experience in intravenous therapy and CPR. Physical ability to perform job duties. Knowledge of organizational policies and safety procedures. Ability to teach, demonstrate, and mentor staff. Conflict resolution skills and multidisciplinary teamwork. Computer skills with current applications.
