Description The Team MCFDs North Fraser Youth Day Treatment Program supports youth (ages 13-18) and their families in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Belcarra, Anmore, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Burnaby and new partnership with families, communities and the Ministry of Education. The program provides intensive mental health and educational services including individual, family and group therapy, psychiatric consultation and crisis intervention. The Role As the Team Leader your role is to provide clinical direction and oversight to the clinical team comprised of CYMH clinicians and Child Care Counsellors. You will be working with community partners, community care teams and school district staff delivering intensive therapeutic interventions to support the youth in the day treatment program. This impactful role manages the local delivery of mental health services for children, youth and families and provides guidance, mentorship and clinical supervision to a dedicated and collaborative professional team. The CYMH Team Leader is part of a broader leadership network and has significant influence over the experience and outcome of services to vulnerable children, youth and families. Qualifications Masters Degree in Social Work (Clinical Specialty or equivalent training/education), Educational Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Child and Youth Care or equivalent. Experience in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and their families. Experience supervising staff. Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver's licence with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province). PREFERENCES One (1) or more years of experience in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and families. One (1) or more years of experience leading staff in a supervisory capacity. DBT experience.
