The Shop Helper is intended to assist Shop Technicians and Supervisors in an effort to maximize the productivity and efficiency.** Please note this position will be out of our New Reman Bradford Location **As a Production Associate - Shop Helper, YOU will experienceWorking within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priorityWorking for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brandOpportunities to continuously Learn, Grow and Develop with our Toromont team through our internal Training teams that are geared for your successCompetitive total rewards including: wages, benefits, and premiums (as eligible)An opportunity for flexible work schedules and opportunities across multiple locations across Eastern CanadaIn a typical day, YOU will:Participate in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiativesLocate equipment and clean as required including moving the equipment to end locations before and after repairs are madeMaintain wash bay cleanliness and manage maintenance of wash bay toolsMaintain cleanliness of shop community propertySupport Contamination Control efforts by maintaining bulk oil, collection sites and solvent stands according to ISO standardsCoordinate couriers for items going to/from the Reman facility, field service and local purchase sitesRetrieve and return tooling as required to/from tool cribsClean, typhoon/steam wash and buff parts as directed to assist technicians on repairsAssist Shop Technicians, Shop Supervisors and Lead Hands as directed in support of the business needsMust-haves for this role:Post Secondary Education with experience in a heavy equipment operation or repair environmentSafety conscious and customer centric with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsSelf-starter, independent and a team player with strong initiative and attention to detailAdaptable in a fast paced environment with constantly changing prioritiesWilling and able to work flexible hours in support of the business needsComputer skills with proficiencies in Microsoft Word and OutlookA valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean Driver's AbstractA valid Forklift Operator's LicenseAbout Toromont RemanToromont Reman helps you maximize your investment in equipment.
