Job Overview Title: QC Inspector Level 2Reports to: Quality SupervisorPrimary Responsibility: Perform detailed inspection of extruded products to ensure conformance to specifications and support assigned quality workflows. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 3 years of relevant quality experience in an ISO13485/GMP manufacturing environment, with extrusion experience preferred Demonstrated efficiency and competency in core and advanced inspection methods and gauges Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Initiative and self‑motivation to create efficiencies and improve productivity within the inspection process Adaptability to apply inspection knowledge to a variety of product geometries and materials Independent work ethic with ability to prioritize assignments Openness to ongoing training to support competency and growth within the role and Quality Control (QC) Basic Position Skills Organization: Ability to react and maintain focus across shifting priorities and tasks Time Management: Manage multiple responsibilities and create efficiencies within inspection processes to meet due dates Critical Thinking: Apply training and experience to assigned tasks; interact with data to identify risk Communication: Coordinate with team members and support departmental goals Work ethic: Professional, positive attitude; provide constructive feedback and ownership to drive improvement Essential Functions of Position Perform Final Inspection for Product Lot Release Prepare, perform, and document final inspections per inspection paperwork for lot release Adapt inspection methods to accommodate various products, including prototypes, profiles, multi‑lumen and thin‑wall extruded tubes Demonstrate acceptable measurement error within inspection methods Assess conformance to defined specifications, identify and document non‑conformance reports (NCR) Perform boundary inspections and take actions to contain non‑conforming product Complete thorough end‑of‑shift reporting Perform Start‑Up and In‑Process Inspection of Manufacturing Extrusion Lines Prepare, perform, and document start‑up and in‑process inspections for multiple extrusion lines within a shift for a variety of parts React, adjust, and communicate appropriately to challenges during the extrusion process Identify and document non‑conformances to defined specifications during the extrusion process Communicate inspection results and work with extrusion technicians or operators to address non‑conformances and at‑risk product Document and perform boundary inspections to contain at‑risk product encountered during the extrusion process Assigned Quality Workflow or Area of Focus Support assigned workflow or area with accountability and action Create documented procedures and provide training as warranted Maintain documentation and tracking of workflow outcomes and performance as required Identify under‑performance and risk within the workflow and take action to improve outcomes Coordinate with others in support of the assigned workflow Provide and maintain active communication and updates to Quality Manager and/or Supervisor Inspection Methods, Gauges and Equipment Use pin gauges, ring gauges, calipers, rulers, vision systems, and other approved gauges within scope of training Employ advanced inspection methods, including automated OGP routines and advanced vision system techniques such as modeling and construction Recognize basic visual and dimensional quality indicators and erroneous data Create efficiencies within the inspection process Report equipment and gauges outside of calibration dates or exhibiting damage, wear, or malfunctions Documentation and Compliance Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) requirements Maintain accurate and complete records in all required documentation Follow defined processes and procedures to identify gaps and misalignment with requirements Maintain product and lot traceability throughout the workflow and in all inspection documentation Safety and Housekeeping Follow all equipment safety procedures Identify and report safety hazards Keep work area clean and organized Communication Professional and courteous interactions with colleagues and stakeholders Effective use of email and daily reporting to facilitate follow‑up and action Proactive and constructive communication to drive improvement and collaboration Work Environment Dynamic, fast‑paced manufacturing floor prone to interruptions Exposure to noise, high temperatures, moving machinery, and high‑voltage equipment Cleanroom and gowning requirements apply Physical Demands Standing 10% of shift, Sitting 75%, Walking 15% Consistent lifting up to 35 lbs (rarely);
