Position Summary Interior Health is seeking a dedicated Casual Pharmacy Assistant to join Royal Inland Hospital’s Pharmacy Department. Shift types include rotating day and evening shifts.

Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and shifts can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

What Will You Work On? As the Pharmacy Assistant you will work under the close supervision of a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician to support various aspects of pharmacy operations. Pharmacy Assistants perform packaging and distribution of unit dose medications, as well as specified inventory control and statistical reporting activities and other related clerical functions.

About This Location: The RIH Pharmacy is our second largest hospital in the interior region. The Pharmacy consists of many generalist and specialist team members, who work collaboratively in a variety of disciplines to deliver innovative pharmacy services utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Qualfications • Completion of Grade 12; and • Graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant Course, plus one year recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
