The role will focus on supporting ongoing northern remediation, solid waste management, geotechnical, and other civil and environmental projects across Western Canada but will also interface with other projects within AECOM’s Environment business.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our team. Below are example responsibilities you can expect:Developing technical solutions to complete civil grading, site remediation, and solid waste management designs.Working with our local design team to develop designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D.Preparing documentation for design projects: technical letters, memorandums, reports, drawings, and detailed design packagesPreparation of project specifications, contract documents, construction packages, and construction cost estimatesPreparation of regulatory submittal documents for development.Project Management: Use of systems and reporting as it relates to control of scope, scheduling, and costProposal writing, job scoping, project plansWorking in a team setting to meet timelines and quality management requirementsProject management training, such as PMP certificationExhibiting personal safety leadership in the oversight and execution of all work.Manage and deliver on scope and schedule including cross-business line staff coordination.Supervisory duties:Collaborating with junior and intermediate staff on client, co-worker, sub-contractor and sub-consultant communication and management.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental etc.)8+ years of related experience within civil, municipal, environmental, or geotechnical projectsProficient technical writing experience for detailed design reports and regulatory document submissions.Preferred Qualifications:P.Eng. registered with multiple provincial or territorial jurisdictions.15+ years of technical experience within any following fields:Civil engineering design, preferably in earthworks and gradingRegistered Professional Engineer with APEGA and/or NAPEGValid driver's licenseTravel will likely be required in this position within CanadaProficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Excel and WordWhat We OfferOffered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
