The Strategy & Operations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Shake Shack Canada’s expansion by driving key strategic and operational initiatives—with a focus on development. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you’ll help implement the company’s growth strategy, optimize restaurant performance, and support data-driven decision-making.You’ll work closely with leadership, operations, and key stakeholders to bridge big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & ExecutionSupport the development of Shake Shack Canada’s multi-year growth plan, including market analysis, location planning, and business case modelingSupport strategic initiatives and special projects (e.g., pricing strategies, new formats, partnerships, new business opportunities)Build business cases to support investment decisions in operations, real estate, and growth initiativesConduct market research, trade area assessments, and competitive analysis to support site selection and market prioritizationLiaise with brokers, landlords, and real estate partners to identify, evaluate, and prioritize new location opportunitiesAssist in negotiating and reviewing leases and other commercial agreements in collaboration with legal and development teamsPrepare real estate packages, presentations, and supporting documents for executive and HQ approvalsAnalyze new store performance against projections and provide insights to inform future real estate strategyStakeholder Reporting & CommunicationsPrepare high-quality presentations, memos, and reports for internal and external stakeholders including global leadership, real estate partners, and the boardTranslate complex data and strategic insights into clear, actionable narratives for cross-functional teamsCoordinate cross-functional inputs for monthly and quarterly business and financial reviews and strategic updatesBusiness & Operations AnalyticsMonitor KPIs and operational performance for restaurant locations; identify insights and areas for improvementBuild and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools that support decision-making across the businessAnalyze customer, sales, and traffic data to support strategic planning and ongoing performance managementQualifications & Requirements2–4 years of experience in strategy, real estate, consulting, corporate development, business operations, or accountingStrong analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.); experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a plusHighly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed with excellent project management skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence across levels and functionsComfortable operating in ambiguity and a fast-paced, evolving environmentPassion for the hospitality or foodservice industry is a plusBachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Real Estate, Finance or a related fieldWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation, including comprehensive benefits, spending account and professional development program.Opportunity to develop skills and gain experience in multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment.Dynamic and fun office culture with colleagues who share the same core values.Exclusive perks from our portfolio companies, including restaurants and fitness studios.About Shake Shack CanadaFormed in 2024, Shake Shack Canada is a partnership between Osmington Inc. and Harlo Entertainment Inc, both Toronto-based private investment companies who prioritize innovation, value creation and delivering exceptional experiences.
