Job Description

Site: Princess Margaret Cancer Centre
Department: Systemic Therapy
Reports to: Nurse Manager
Work Model: On-Site
Grade: SN:16
Wage Range: $24.92 – 26.87 (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements)
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Shifts: Monday - Saturday & Stat Holidays; 8 - 4
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Closing Date: December 5, 2024

Position Summary

The Support Partner is a valuable member of our team, playing a critical role in assisting direct patient caregivers and managing the Clinic’s functionality.

Duties

  • Provides assistance to direct patient caregivers through the performance of specific activities related to the maintenance of the Clinic, including: cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing instruments
  • Setting up clinic areas
  • Patients support activities
  • Transportation support activities
  • Other duties directly related with the proper maintenance of the Clinic
Qualifications
  • Completion of a secondary school diploma program
  • Experience with housekeeping, portering and/or unit aide
  • Evidence of ability to lift heavy objects
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Evidence of good independent initiative
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Previous Hospital experience
  • Experience in a teaching hospital environment preferred
