The Financial Planning team helps clients set and achieve their financial goals while delivering a legendary customer experience. This role focuses on relationship management, advice, and business development. Responsibilities Identify clients’ life and financial goals, provide comprehensive reviews, and build long‑term relationships through financial planning expertise. Conduct reporting and relevant analysis, draw conclusions, and continually assess effectiveness of programs, policies, and practices. Contribute to team and department goals while strengthening customer service and dedication. Monitor service productivity, assess efficiency, and implement continuous improvements. Stay knowledgeable of best practices, procedures, and emerging trends. Acquire expertise, provide mentorship, assistance, and direction to others. Maintain a culture of risk management and control, aligned with risk appetite. Participate fully as a team member, supporting a positive, service‑oriented work environment. Educational Requirements University degree (preferred). 3–5 years within the financial services industry managing client relationships, providing financial advice and tailored investment solutions (preferred). Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or CFA Level 1 (or higher) required before start date. Complete Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) within first 90 days. CIRO Registered Representative (RR) license within first 90 days. Complete Wealth Management Essentials (WME) within first 30 months. Achieve Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within first 3 years. CFP Eligibility requires a university degree OR up to 10 years of qualifying work experience OR being a QAFP professional in good standing for at least 5 years at application time. Skills You Will Require Passion for financial planning and helping clients reach financial & life goals. Entrepreneurial spirit for prospecting external business development opportunities through networking and high‑value sales experience. Deep understanding of the industry, competitive landscape, economic market issues, and regulatory environment. Excellent people and problem‑solving skills to build and maintain client relationships. Strong communication skills; ability to work collaboratively and independently, provide assistance, and build relationships.
