The company prioritizes employee growth and provides training and resources to help staff develop fulfilling careers. About the Role This position is based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The Specialist will participate in the full recruitment cycle, from posting openings to onboarding, while serving as the main point of contact for candidates and collaborating with hiring managers via the UKG system. Primary Responsibilities Conduct the complete recruitment cycle from job posting to onboarding. Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, delivering a personalized experience. Manage applicants efficiently and coordinate with hiring managers through UKG. Schedule pre‑employment and developmental assessments. Prepare and present offer letters to candidates. Administer the onboarding process, including new hire toolkits and documentation. Conduct new hire HR orientation sessions. Develop and audit job descriptions to reflect position requirements. Maintain confidential employee records and personnel files. Create and update competency matrices to align skills with organizational needs. Design and document process maps for key HR workflows. Deliver line manager training on recruitment practices and compliance. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to talent acquisition and workforce planning. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience. 5–7 years of recruitment experience in the construction industry preferred; at least 2 years managing all phases of the process. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS, and sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter. Adaptability in both structured and unstructured settings, effective priority management, and meeting deadlines. High collaboration, engagement, and customer service focus. High level of discretion and confidentiality. Construction or major project experience considered an asset.
