Our client, a mining company with operations in a remote Arctic region, is seeking a Site Finance Manager to lead financial operations and cost control at site. This is a FIFO role on a 4-week rotation, offering the chance to work in a challenging but rewarding environment while playing a key role in the success of the operation.The Site Finance Manager will focus on managing budgets, monitoring costs, and providing accurate financial insights to support decision-making. Importantly, this role will also be responsible for building out the site finance structure, establishing the processes and systems needed to ensure financial discipline, efficiency, and alignment with corporate goals.What You’ll Be Doing:Overseeing site-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in close coordination with corporate finance.Monitoring operating and capital expenditures, developing strategies to improve cost effectiveness.Applying strong costing experience (cost accounting and project costing) to track, analyze, and report on site financial performance.Working with operational managers to incorporate production and mine plan updates into financial forecasts.Preparing cost-benefit analyses for projects and providing recommendations on financial feasibility.Delivering timely variance analysis, cost reports, and other financial reports to support informed decision-making.Establishing and maintaining cost control systems, policies, and procedures that strengthen financial governance.Leading the effort to build and enhance the site finance structure, ensuring processes are scalable and aligned with company-wide standards.What You’ll Need to Be Successful:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management or cost control, ideally in mining, manufacturing, or a related industry.Proven on-site working experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment.Solid understanding of cost accounting and project costing principles.Experience establishing or improving financial structures, systems, and reporting frameworks.Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and budgeting practices.Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and detail.Strong communication and presentation skills to collaborate effectively across site and corporate teams.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a demanding environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
