Clinical Educator (N4) – Renal Health Program Requisition ID: 391640 Position Number: 20057875 Posting End Date: November 12, 2025 City: Winnipeg Employer: Seven Oaks General Hospital Site: Seven Oaks General Hospital Department / Unit: Renal Health Program Job Stream: Clinical Support Union: MNU Anticipated Start Date: 12/15/2025 FTE: 1.00 Anticipated Shift: Days; Evenings Work Arrangement: In Person Daily Hours Worked: 7.75 Annual Base Hours: 2015 Salary: $46,152 – $60,267 Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Director/Designate and in collaboration with the site Regional Program Team and site Education Manager/Director, the incumbent is responsible for identifying priority learning needs and implementing strategies to address them for all clinical staff in an assigned area. The role models excellence in clinical practice, provides clinical knowledge in collaboration with other experts to enhance overall patient care, and develops and implements learning modules to support the strategic vision of the designated clinical program. The educator engages in collaborative activities such as regional working groups and communities of practice to promote evidence‑informed practice, improve efficiency, and drive system performance. Professional responsibilities also include participating in central and site‑driven educational rollouts as needed. Experience Minimum of four years recent related nursing experience with demonstrated clinical practice competency relevant to the assigned area. Previous experience in clinical education is essential, including past experience as a preceptor to students and/or orienting new staff. Education Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered). Coursework or certification in adult education is an asset. Certification as an instructor in a specialty training course (e.g., CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP) may be required in certain circumstances. Certification / Licensure / Registration Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification in a related clinical area preferred. Must be registered or eligible for registration with the applicable professional college (e.g., College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)). Active participation in professional associations such as the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall align with Employer policy. Qualifications and Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). Competency in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) and/or other presentation software. Familiarity with online learning modalities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Preference for applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledgeable about Indigenous customs, traditions, and values. Demonstrated ability to problem‑solve in complex situations. Evidence of competency in adult learning principles and teaching strategies. Demonstrated ability to function creatively and independently. Commitment to continued professional development. Initiates and supports change. Demonstrated leadership competencies. Physical Requirements Hours of work are flexible and may include evening, night, or weekend shifts as required and/or directed.
