Masters Level Clinical Counselling Student Practicum FIRST CALL CARE (Sept 2026) Join Homewood Health Centre as a Student Practitioner in our Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP), delivering integrated mental health services remotely. We support your practicum with experienced supervisors, interprofessional learning and a focus on quality care. This practicum placement provides the opportunity to work remotely. You must have a dedicated, private workspace at home with a minimum internet speed of 50 MBPS and the ability to connect your computer directly to modem or router. What You’ll Be Doing Depending on the unit hosting your practicum, responsibilities include: Deliver direct and indirect clinical services as assigned, including confidential counselling to meet practicum hours. Receive case assignments, establish treatment plans, complete case progress notes and other indirect clinical services. Adhere to professional standards and best practices. Participate in required training. Work collaboratively with other clinical managers within EFAP. What We’re Looking For Current enrollment in a Masters Program relevant to Clinical Counselling. Experience delivering short‑term or single‑session counselling. Experience in client‑facing roles. Ability to assess risk and crisis situations and apply good clinical judgment under pressure. Excellent listening skills and ability to convey empathy. Take responsibility for actions and decisions. Experience in crisis intervention, One‑At‑A‑Time and solution‑focused approaches is an asset. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook. Excellent English language skills; bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
