Position: Clinical Counsellor (French Speaking) Location: Ontario – Remote or hybrid depending on proximity to Toronto office. Hours: Full‑time (40 h) or part‑time (minimum 24 h per week). Shift options include day and overnight. Salary: $62,000 per year for day shifts; $68,000 per year for overnight shifts (full‑time plus competitive benefits). Responsibilities Provide single‑session telephonic and video counselling, in‑the‑moment support and crisis management in a professional, confidential manner. Assess clients to determine suitability for short‑term counselling. Assess and manage high‑risk calls and coordinate care with individuals at risk. Refer clients to external resources or internal WPO services within a holistic framework. Collaboratively develop clear, concise treatment plans. Maintain accurate clinical and task‑oriented documentation in the case‑management system. Perform additional tasks as determined appropriate by management. Qualifications & Skills Registered social worker, counsellor, or psychologist with a Master’s degree. Clinical counselling experience in both English and French. Experience providing assessments and using clinical assessment tools. Familiarity with short‑term counselling modalities such as solution‑focused, CBT, mindfulness, integrative, and systemic counselling. Training in crisis intervention and support for high‑risk clients is beneficial. Ability to work with clients presenting substance abuse, crisis situations, mental‑health symptoms, and family/relationship concerns impacting personal or work performance.
