Join to apply for the Instructor Therapist (Barrie/Simcoe) role at Kinark Child and Family Services Job Summary Instructor Therapist will provide services and supports to children and youth with autism and their families under the supervision of a Board‑Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Reporting to the Senior Therapist, this role works as part of a team directly with children and youth in centres and client homes, in one‑on‑one and small group settings. The position may be scheduled for evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day and up to 35 hours per week. Travel within a 50‑kilometre radius of the primary site and occasional work at other Kinark sites may be required. This is a temporary part‑time position with a contract length of 1 year. Liaise with parents to provide progress updates and support parent coaching sessions. Create teaching materials and collect/monitor data. Data Collection and Review Conduct behaviour or curriculum assessments and monitor progress by keeping detailed daily records of challenging behaviour, skill acquisition, and other intervention aspects. Administrative Duties Maintain the clinical binder for each client: prepare datasheets, daily graphing, and adjust programming based on revision/mastery criteria. Participate in agency initiatives to enhance services. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Autism/Behaviour Science, Behavioural Psychology, or a related field College diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker, or Developmental Service Worker considered Currently enrolled diploma or degree program considered One year of experience delivering ABA‑based programming an asset Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) an asset Strong organisational, interpersonal, time‑management, and communication skills Team‑player ability Valid Ontario driver’s licence with an accessible vehicle, willing to obtain insurance covering at least one million dollars liability Knowledge of cultural diversity and ability to speak additional languages considered assets First Aid/CPR training an asset Travel Travel in the York and/or Simcoe area required.
