Job Description Job Overview: As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and preventive maintenance of commercial and workgroup printers in business environments. This field role requires hands‑on technical expertise, a proactive approach to service delivery, and a commitment to client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on workgroup desktop printers Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow standard operating procedures Install upgrades and modifications to optimize equipment performance Provide informal on‑site training to customers on the use of basic equipment Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage minimal parts inventory Build and maintain strong customer relationships in your assigned territory Why Join Us? Steady weekday schedule – Monday–Friday daytime role (generally 8:30–5) Immediate start – vendor‑specific hardware maintenance training provided Competitive pay ($45,000–$60,000) Mileage reimbursement while utilizing your personal vehicle Health Spending Account (HSA) Career growth opportunities – we promote from within Business expenses reimbursed – we invest in your success If you enjoy hands‑on mechanical work, problem‑solving, and getting out in the field instead of sitting at a desk, this could be the perfect role for you A Day in the Life Start your day from home – no need to report to an office first Travel to customer sites in your territory to service printers and office equipment Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs Provide basic customer training on equipment use Close out service calls with accurate records and parts usage Wrap up your day knowing you’ve solved problems and helped customers get back to business What You’ll Do Service and repair commercial/workgroup printers in business environments Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow service procedures Install upgrades and modifications to optimize performance Maintain accurate service records and a small inventory of parts Build strong relationships with customers through excellent service REQUIREMENTS We value skills, aptitude, and willingness to learn over strict requirements. The ideal candidate will: Be fully bilingual (French and English) Currently reside in the posted city Be comfortable with daily travel (regional) and occasional overnight stays Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report required) Be legally entitled to work in Canada Enjoy learning about and working with different technologies Have strong technical or mechanical aptitude (experience with tools, engines, or equipment is a plus) Be proficient with hand tools and computer applications Have excellent communication and customer service skills Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities Be able to lift up to 23 kg and work independently Have repair experience with workgroup or office printers Have field service experience in a customer‑facing role Hold an Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent electro‑mechanical training Have a reliable vehicle to travel to customer sites BENEFITS What We Offer Competitive salary: $45,000–$60,000 (based on experience) Health Spending Account (HSA) to support your health and wellness needs Business expense reimbursement Career advancement opportunities as we continue to grow Comprehensive training to set you up for success Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Weare committed to building a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve across Canada.
