Salary range for the position is $88,990 to $127,923. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

How will you create an impact: In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Workforce Strategies Advisor supports organizational strategic priorities through the planning, development and implementation of strategies that enhance and optimize the workforce. The Workforce Strategies Advisor provides skills and knowledge in research, project planning, project management, data analysis and forecasting to lead the planning, development and implementation of effective, innovative and sustainable staffing models that meet the operational and strategic health human resource needs of the organization. The Workforce Strategies Advisor partners with key partners in Human Resources, Operations, Professional Practice Office, Digital Health and cross-functional teams to provide expert consultation, coordination and support to organizational committees as required. The Workforce Strategies Advisor provides subject matter expertise on strategic workforce initiatives both internally and externally and liaises with health human resources professionals across BC and Canada.
In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to your manager or supervisor immediately.
What will you work on: 1. Provides leadership, subject matter expertise and consultation on effective and sustainable workforce strategies through the planning, implementation, integration, evaluation and monitoring of operational and strategic initiatives. 2. Researches workforce strategies and organizational development trends and innovations, regionally, provincially, nationally and internationally with a focus on innovative approaches and leading practice solutions. 3. Performs research and analyzes historical and forecasted workforce data to inform the development of innovative and leading practice staffing models and workforce strategies. 4. Partners with Operations and Human Resources to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of effective, innovative and sustainable workforce strategies. 5. Partners with internal and external partners to identify future workforce needs and trends and implement strategies to support. 6. Provides leadership, facilitation, coordination and support to organizational committees, planning groups and operations implementation groups along with ongoing communication to key partners to ensure successful completion and sustainment of workforce strategy initiatives across the organization. 7. In partnership with Health System Planning, contributes to the organization’s vision, mission, values, and goals, by participating in IH’s planning process to support organizational objectives. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualfications Education, Training and Experience • Education training and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Health Services Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Health Information Sciences or relevant health care discipline. • Five (5) year's recent, related experience including change management initiatives or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis along with experience and education in project management are important assets to this role. Experience with staffing models and schedule optimization is an asset. • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities • Strong initiative, self-direction, and creative problem-solving skills to identify gaps and opportunities and implement strategic initiatives. • Ability to research, analyze and distill information. • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills. • Current with technological changes, anticipate opportunities, and ensure readiness for future technological changes and enhancements. • Ability to gather, summarize, and report information in a careful, thorough, clear, and concise manner. • Change management, and influencing decision-making at the individual, group, and organizational level. • Broad knowledge of patient care delivery systems in primary, acute and community settings. • Effective facilitation, persuasion and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes. • Works effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner. • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
