MTY Group is expanding its retail footprint and seeking a results-driven Retail Sales Manager to grow our presence in grocery retail across Ontario, Atlantic Canada, and Western Canada.This individual will lead sales efforts for MTY’s branded and private-label food products — securing listings, driving promotions, and strengthening relationships with key grocery buyers and category managers.The MTY Group is a family whose heart beats to the rhythm of its brands and its employees.Over the past 40 years, EXCELLENCE, ENTHUSIASM and INNOVATION have led us to success.Today, we continue to look for talented professionals who want to work for a company that will offer them opportunities for growth and many rewarding experiences.MTY offers its employees dynamic, unique and valuable professional experience.3 weeks of vacation5 days of flexible leave$2000 reimbursement for professional certifications and continuing education requirementsHalf-day Fridays year-roundCompany health and dental plans, with an additional $300 personal wellness expense accountEmployee assistance program with access to mental health, legal, and financial counseling servicesEmployee profit-sharing plan with employer contributionMonthly company-wide recognition awardsCompany social events, including webinars, town halls, and team activitiesCasual dress codeFree parking at the officeThe ideal candidate already has strong connections with buyers at major Canadian grocery banners (Loblaw, Sobeys, Metro, Walmart, Save-On-Foods, etc.) and knows how to turn those relationships into measurable growth.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Management & Business GrowthManage and grow sales within assigned grocery accounts across the Ontario, Atlantic, and Western Canada regions.Leverage existing relationships to secure new listings, expand distribution, and negotiate promotional programs.Build business plans tailored to each banner’s category strategy and consumer trends.Collaborate with brokers, distributors, and internal supply chain partners to ensure flawless execution.Strategic Sales ExecutionDevelop and execute regional sales plans aligned with MTY’s growth strategy.Present new products, marketing programs, and category solutions to retail partners.Analyze performance data, identify white-space opportunities, and propose actions to increase velocity and profitability.Lead product presentations and participate in category reviews with key retail partners.Relationship DevelopmentAct as MTY’s front-line representative for key grocery accounts in assigned territories.Maintain regular contact with buyers, category managers, and store-level influencers to build brand visibility.Partner with internal marketing to deliver impactful consumer promotions, merchandising, and seasonal programs.Reporting & AnalysisTrack, report, and forecast sales performance by banner and region.Measure ROI on trade spending and promotional activity.Provide competitive insights and feedback from the field to guide strategy.QualificationsRequired3 years of experience managing grocery retail accounts within a food or CPG environment.Established relationships with grocery buyers at major national and regional chains (Loblaw, Sobeys, Metro, Walmart, Save-On-Foods, etc.).Proven record of securing listings, managing promotional calendars, and achieving volume/margin targets.Deep understanding of category management, pricing strategy, and retailer programs.Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Self-starter able to work independently while collaborating across departments.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and retail analytics tools (Nielsen, Power BI, or equivalent).PreferredExperience in frozen, refrigerated, or shelf-stable food categories.Familiarity with distributor networks and broker-managed territories.Bilingual in English/French considered an asset.Performance MetricsSales and margin growth by region and banner.Number of new listings and expanded distribution points.Promotional execution and trade ROI.Strength of relationships with key retail buyers.Regional merchandising and brand visibility performance.Please note that any offer of employment will be conditional upon a background check, including a criminal record check.*The majority of our clients and a large proportion of our employees are outside Quebec*.Seniority LevelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and AnalystIndustriesFood and Beverage Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
