Metso would like to engage a Project Logistics Specialist professional to join our team based in West Perth on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. Who we are? The Role: The Project Logistics Specialist supports the Services Project Logistics team in managing daily operations specific to their allocated project as lead or supporting specialist. This role ensures shipments move smoothly, data is accurately maintained, compliance requirements are met and communications to the team is maintained. What You'll Do: Coordinate end-to-end logistics activities and multi-modal transport solutions for their allocated projects and ensure timely communication to the allocated project manager and support team Preparing shipping and customs documentation for imports and exports globally for multiple entities in the supply chain. Support trade compliance by reviewing documentation. Provide insights to support negotiations with 3PLs, 4PLs and freight providers. Monitor shipment status and update internal systems and shipment tracker (SAP/TM/SMM). Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and distribution centres to track deliveries. Coordinate last‑mile delivery operations and exception handling. Maintain accurate system records and updates. Communicate potential issues (delays, compliance flags, etc.) to the Project team and elevate any issues to the Project Logistics Manager. Co‑ordinates any Non‑Project related shipment allocated by their manager. Who You Are: Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Good knowledge of INCOTERMS and international trade concepts. Basic understanding of supply chain or logistics processes (advantageous but not essential). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn SAP/TM/SMM systems. Strong communication skills for working with vendors and team members. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Certificate IV in Business (or similar field) or currently studying for such 12 Months experience in an international logistics role or logistics role in an international company.
