As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario.What You'll Do Here:Lead welding development initiatives in the Aecon Centre of Excellence shop space.Assist welding Engineers in developing, troubleshooting, designing, testing and training with various types of welding processes and pieces of equipment.Perform welding activities with manual, mechanized and automated solutions.Assist with the Aecon Nuclear welding school activities and classes.What You Bring To The Team:Minimum 2 years of industry welding experience with manual and/or mechanized welding arc processes.Experience with welding high volumetric RT/UT standards with GTAW, SMAW and/or GMAW welding processes.Strong education and hands on welding experience.Able to read and work off blueprints and fabrication drawings.Willingness to mentor other welders and trainees.Practices a strong safety culture.We strongly encourage applicants who identify as Indigenous to apply to work with us on the Darlington New Nuclear Project.
