We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and will provide accommodations upon request during the interview process.ResponsibilitiesCarry out manufacturing operations in accordance with procedures, in compliance with HSE standards, productivity targets and quality standards (GMP, hygiene).Propose ideas to improve productivity and take responsibility for workspace organization, quality and safety.Manage daily activities of the laboratory to ensure specifications for vaccine production are met (harvesting, purification and aseptic filling).Contribute to the construction of new documentation systems and validation of equipment and processes (clean zone, autoclaves, centrifuge, tangential flow filtration).Suggest set-up of the team’s work in daily Tier 1 based on production schedule; execute production planning and report quality standards.Inform and escalate issues or deviations; monitor and continuously improve activity; close and control work orders.Complete processing, documentation and cleaning in aseptic areas; work independently, complete tasks accurately and efficiently.Collect samples from tanks, surfaces and environment; perform equipment and instrument calibrations; identify and report irregularities.Review production batch records; ensure adherence to operating time yield standards; analyze variances and propose action plans.Set up/write SOPs; apply standards (environment, quality, safety/HSE, aseptic, cost); perform In-Process Controls (IPC).Complete and check batch reports; raise alerts for dangerous situations, near misses, QA deviations, etc.; participate in internal audits.Participate in writing new SOPs and Batch Production Records; ensure 5S standards are met and maintained; follow health and safety rules.Participate in validation processes with guidance; ensure CPS standards on assigned workstations; monitor performance indicators and address gaps; propose and implement improvements.Carry out process confirmations as planned; ensure storage and performance standards are maintained; report deviations; perform basic maintenance and changeovers; escalate if needed.Act as a responder for spill calls and be part of the spill response team; consider small CAPEX investments to improve performance (below 5K€).Participate in projects and continuous improvement activities; share good practices; train temporary workers or junior operators; pursue personal development.QualificationsTechnical college diploma in a related technical/biological field.A bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological or engineering technology is an asset.Experience in a GMP laboratory environment.Previous experience with bioreactors is required.CompetenciesDrive Ambition & AccountabilitiesInfluence OthersCollaborate with EmpathyEngage & DevelopShape Solutions out of ComplexityClient FocusOtherLocation: Cambridge, Ontario, Canada #J-18808-Ljbffr
