Key Objective As a key member of the Financial Lines underwriting department, you will have the role of managing and growing a Private and Not-for-profit Management Liability book of business. As such, you will play a critical role in the growth and profitability initiatives for this specialty department. Major Responsibilities Identifying, analyzing and developing sources of new business by actively marketing Chubb products. Market Focus, Strategy & Execution – develop new business opportunities and provide customized approaches on market conditions and broker needs, work closely with leadership on the development and execution of marketing strategy. Risk selection, coverage negotiation and pricing adequacy. Conduct in-depth underwriting analysis and determine best course of action on a risk specific basis. Working collaboratively with a centralized underwriting team on the retention of renewals and upselling on existing renewal book. Cross selling with Commercial field underwriters and Financial Lines underwriters. Establish and maintain strong relationships with a variety of brokers and insureds in the Central region, including educating brokers on Private and Not-for-Profit Management Liability segment. Participating in self-development activities to improve or further develop technical product knowledge. Qualifications Successful completion of a university level curriculum and/or equivalent work experience. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset. 3+ years of underwriting experience in Management Liability insurance required. Previous experience in marketing or customer development. Demonstrated track record of customer service orientation and proven ability to foster strong business relationships. Proven negotiation skills, gained through established broker relationships. Demonstrated analytical skills with a comfort in financial analysis. Ability to be innovative and creative in order to develop new opportunities. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Results oriented, accountable and collaborative.
