As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging is recruiting for Channel Sales Director in Waterloo (ON) or Montreal (QC).


Job Summary:

The Channel Sales Director will be instrumental in developing and executing our channel strategy to drive revenue growth and expand our market footprint. This role involves designing and optimizing sales channels, arranging and overseeing channel training, and managing ongoing channel performance.

To be successful in this role, the Channel Sales Director must also build relationships internally across business functions and with management, championing the needs of indirect sales channels to secure support for growth-oriented programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in B2B sales, excellent strategic planning skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth through channel success.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Implement Sales Channels:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive channel strategy that aligns with company goals and market opportunities.
    • Identify and establish new sales channels to expand our reach and drive revenue growth.
    • Arrange and oversee training programs for channel partners to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively sell our products and services.
    • Develop training materials and deliver presentations as needed.
    • Manage and support existing sales channels, including channel partners and distributors.
    • Drive revenue growth through effective channel management and optimization.
    • Monitor performance, address any issues, and ensure channels are meeting their sales targets and business objectives.
  2. Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners and stakeholders as well as with cross-functional internal teams.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for channel-related inquiries and collaborate with partners to achieve mutual success.
  3. Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new channel opportunities and stay informed about industry trends and changes.
  4. Analysis & Reporting:
    • Provide regular reports and updates on channel performance, revenue, and other key metrics to senior management.
    • Analyze channel performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement improvements.

Experience / Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.

5+ years of experience in sales channel management or a related role within the B2B high-tech industry. Proven track record of designing and managing successful sales channels.

Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with channel partners.

In-depth understanding of sales channel strategies, market dynamics, and B2B sales processes. Familiarity with CRM and channel management software.
