Our acute and continuing‑care services support 45,000 patients annually with 24/7/365 emergency care, orthopedics, ophthalmology, a dialysis unit, and renowned mental‑health and restorative seniors programs. Department/Unit/Program Description: The Diagnostic Imaging Department (DI) provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including X‑ray, CT, MRI, US, mammography (including Ontario Breast Screening OBSP), echocardiography, and non‑invasive IR procedures. Orthopedic fracture clinics run multiple days per week, adding to the variety of patients seen. Patient complexity varies according to individual needs. Position Summary The Diagnostic Imaging Department seeks a permanent part‑time Medical Radiation Technologist to join the team. Effective Date: As soon as possible. Essential Qualifications Active member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) General X‑ray, OR, and portable work experience Current CPR certification, on‑hire High level of communication, organizational, and time‑management skills Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, patients, and the public PACS experience Fulfil the physical requirements of the job as per the current Physical Demands Analysis Preferred Qualifications Computer experience in a Windows environment Certification in the Administration of Intravenous Contrast Agents CT experience is an asset Trained in Epic—training can be provided, but must pass required testing Hours of Work Must be available for eight (8) hour rotational shifts (all shifts) Monday to Sunday. May require standby and call‑back duties. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and the OPSEU Collective Agreement.
