OverviewMasters Level Clinical Counselling Student Practicum (Bilingual) – January 2026. This hybrid placement provides the opportunity to work remotely and to participate in some in-person learning at the Montreal Homewood Health office. A dedicated, private, confidential workspace at home with a minimum internet speed of 50 MBPS and a direct connection to your modem or router is required.As a bilingual English/French Staff Clinician Student Learner, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team within the Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP). You will participate in a variety of activities to increase your knowledge and establish your skills while qualifying for Direct and In-Direct hour requirements, under supervision and within an interdisciplinary team focused on quality and continuous learning.What You’ll Be DoingDeliver direct and indirect clinical services as assigned, including confidential counselling to meet practicum hours as discussed with the Practicum Placement SupervisorReceive case assignments, establish treatment plans, complete case progress notes, and provide other indirect clinical servicesAdhere to professional standards and best practicesParticipate in training as requiredWork collaboratively with other clinical managers within EFAPWhat We’re Looking ForCurrent enrollment in a Master’s Program relevant to Clinical Counselling is requiredExperience delivering short-term and single-session counsellingExperience in client-facing rolesAbility to manage risk and crisis situations and apply good clinical judgment under pressureExcellent listening skills with the ability to convey empathyTake responsibility for actions and decisionsAbility to integrate sustainability into own workRelevant experience in crisis intervention, One-At-A-Time and solution-focused approaches is advantageousStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointExcellent French and English language skills are requiredPolished presentation skillsEnglish language skills are required as this role supports, communicates, and/or collaborates with both French- and English-speaking clients and/or colleagues nationally.Why Learn With UsHomewood Health is Canada’s leading service provider for medically focused, evidence-based treatment of mental health and addiction disorders.
