Position Overview Manager Production – Lead a skilled team that works on track construction projects, driving safety, service, and productivity. Railway experience is preferred but 5+ years in thermite or flash butt welding is also ideal. A solid understanding of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) is essential for managing workflows effectively. Position Accountabilities Mentor an average of 45 direct reports to improve efficiency and hold accountability when needed. Review planned capital work, confirm material, and execution requirements. Ensure CPKC regulatory compliance for respective track projects. Develop and implement work processes and changes with your team that achieve continuous improvement. Promote and ensure adherence to CPKC policies, safety practices, and procedures across all team members and direct reports, fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Evaluate planned capital work, validate material readiness, and confirm execution strategies to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. Position Requirements High school diploma or general equivalency. Valid driver’s license. 100% travel (expenses covered); 7 on/7 off schedule covering Thunder Bay to Mactier and ending in Sudbury. Capability to lead a project plan/schedule. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams to achieve goals. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
