Reporting to the Manager of Emergency Services, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients including complex patient populations whose outcomes are not predictable. As part of a multidisciplinary health care team, you will practice within the Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Philosophy of patient and family centered care, mission, vision, values and the policies of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to become licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario Recent experience in Emergency Nursing with experience in the care of complex patient populations, including, but not limited to: triaging patients, care of multiple trauma patients Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized care planning and delivery Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions Central Venous Line Management Have a certification, or recent continuing education in Emergency Nursing SADV training The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety and security of the patients, visitors, employees and assets financial and otherwise. and proof of full vaccination of all required doses of a COVID‑19 vaccine approved by Health Canada to Occupational Health & Safety.The Hospital is committed to delivering healthcare in a manner that is consistent with Patient and Family Centred Care.
