Local Chapter Lead – GTA (Toronto, Brampton, Oshawa, Caledon, etc.) Volunteer Well is a Canadian non‑profit connecting volunteers with those in need, empowering communities, promoting inclusivity, and fostering kindness through innovative programs, events, and partnerships. Summary The Local Chapter Lead acts as the face of Volunteer Well in your city/region, catalyzing relationship‑building, platform growth, and community mobilization. Description This remote‑first, part‑time position requires in‑person presence for local activations, occasional city travel, and evening or weekend event work. Brand Presence, Platform Promotion & Engagement Introduce and promote the Volunteer Well platform and its Generosity Hub through outreach, demos, and one‑on‑one conversations. Facilitate user onboarding and support new volunteers and recipients. Collect and share success stories and impact narratives. Champion the platform in neighbourhood forums, public discussions, and events. Stakeholder Relationship Development Build and maintain relationships with local nonprofits, small business owners, service clubs, and community leaders. Initiate and manage sponsorships and co‑promotional opportunities with community‑minded businesses and organizations. Cultivate collaborations with larger nonprofits, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and government agencies. Represent Volunteer Well in municipal discussions, town halls, and community board meetings. Community Event Facilitation Organize and lead one monthly signature in‑person event. Partner with local venues, organizations, and volunteers to co‑host events. Gather community input and feedback to tailor events. Encourage recurring participation and peer‑to‑peer referrals. Coordination & Reporting Submit monthly reports on user acquisition, partner outreach, and event outcomes. Contribute to best‑practice development and toolkits. Participate in virtual planning and check‑in sessions. Track and share data related to impact and partnership progress. What We’re Looking For Minimum six months of proven experience in community outreach, nonprofit programming, or grassroots organizing. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship‑building skills across sectors. Comfortable facilitating events, conducting outreach, and navigating local networks. Familiarity with the city/region’s social services, nonprofit landscape, and community groups. Self‑motivated, reliable, and aligned with our mission of inclusion, compassion, and shared responsibility.
