Project Portfolio Analyst Foresters Financial invites applications for the Project Portfolio Analyst role. Job Description Purpose of role: The Project Portfolio Analyst will provide administrative, financial, resource, and project governance support for Foresters projects. Responsibilities include project intake management, project estimation and initiation, project gating, executive reporting, artifacts compliance, resource tracking, utilization, budget and expense management, and supporting the Project Portfolio Manager with portfolio financial reporting and key metrics. Key Responsibilities Admin Support and Reporting Consolidate and complete weekly, monthly, and ad‑hoc project reporting, including status, health, and key performance metrics. Manage the PMO reporting process (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and serve as the focal point. Maintain the Project Management Information System (PMIS) – Project Online. Portfolio Intake Management Receive and record new requests across multiple departments. Manage the intake queue and related documentation. Coordinate estimation by obtaining estimates from IT departments and vendors. Track and monitor intake items, ensuring timely procurement of estimates and requests per guidelines. Consolidate individual estimates into an overall Order of Magnitude estimate. Respond to inquiries from requestors and stakeholders. Communicate final estimates to requestors. Project Governance Act as central point of communication for governance, control, and gating. Perform periodic project audits to ensure alignment with PMO standards. Manage the Project Artifacts Matrix and completion tracking. Provide budget/forecast and financial reporting to portfolio management. Manage consolidated project reporting, KPI’s, and performance matrix. Manage invoice/SOW/PCR tracking and approvals. Project Resourcing and Financial Support Maintain program resource model, allocations, and time tracking, including utilization reporting. Assist in planning and budgeting of project resources and financial objectives. Support forecasting/project modeling related to key business metrics. Coordinate with business, finance, project teams, and external partners on program financials. Investigate, escalate, and resolve project financial issues. Provide detailed financial data for capitalization and amortization forecasting. Manage invoice authorization, tracking, and reconciliation processes. Handle funding requests (seed funding, business case, ELT wrappers, additional funding). Conduct periodic time‑tracking, reporting, and governance audits. Other Adhere to Foresters security standards and procedures. Report security incidents per the Foresters Information Security Incident Management Standard. Key Qualifications Education (minimum): University Degree in Business or equivalent in Finance and/or Project Management. PMP or Accounting designation is an asset. Experience (minimum): 5+ years in a project control or financial analyst role. Knowledge of SDLC and PMLC is an asset. Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros). Experience managing SharePoint for a PMO. Exposure to large or multiple projects. Ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines. Strong organization, follow‑up, and priority‑setting skills. Customer service orientation and proactive initiative. Team-oriented and independent work capability. Experience with or administering a PPM tool for a PMO is an asset.
