Coordinating freight daily with vendors/agents. Participating in department and branch team meetings. Rate/contract negotiation. Issuing pertinent freight documentation. Constant monitoring and replying to e-mails in the import’s and personal work mailboxes. Ensuring appropriate margins are met on shipments. Ensuring vendor compliance with service standards Maintaining and fostering vendor and client relationships. Timely actioning vendor and client requests. Cross Train on exports in order to cover when necessary Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of Ocean Import Experience Experience handling complex cargo-Dangerous Goods, ITAR, Project Cargo Dangerous Goods training Certification-IATA and IMDG strongly preferred Experience with Descartes preferred Excellent customer service skills Ability to keep up with fast paced changes in the international logistics environment Summary Passionate about Transport & Logistics?
