Vice President - Business Development - CNL The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for building and implementing a comprehensive business plan to optimize the commercial potential of CNL’s research and capabilities. Working closely with the VP Science & Technology, the Vice President will drive and oversee the proactive identification of market opportunities to transform ideas into commercial ventures. The key challenge is to find opportunities that contribute to building new business and advancing research beneficial to Canada, while not harming or competing with Canadian private businesses. Responsibilities Define business development markets, company position in the respective market(s), and market potential. Develop, coordinate and execute plans involving the development of new work from existing contracts; work with operational personnel to implement these objectives. Develop division business development strategies and approaches; work within and across division lines to achieve business development objectives. Assist in the development of business development (BD) and bid & proposal (B&P) budget(s). Analyze and assess competing organizations; develop approaches and strategies to strengthen the company’s competitive position. Facilitate, coordinate and/or arrange strategic hires, teaming agreements and strategic alliances; assist in proposal efforts and reviews. Interface with personnel within the division, the company, other organizations and customers, and others in the community. Faciliter, coordonner et/ou organiser des recrutements stratégiques, accords de collaboration et alliances stratégiques; assister dans la préparation des propositions et les examens. Interagir avec le personnel au sein de la division, de l’entreprise, d’autres organisations, des clients et d’autres parties de la communauté. Qualifications Diplôme de licence dans un domaine pertinent et au moins 18 ans d’expérience professionnelle dans le domaine ou équivalent, ou 15 ans d’expérience pertinente avec un diplôme de master 10 ans d’expérience en gestion Excellentes compétences en communication, aptitudes interpersonnelles, organisationnelles et analytiques; connaissances pratiques des logiciels de traitement de texte et des applications logicielles intégrées requises. Position peut nécessiter des déplacements Position peut exiger la capacité d’obtenir et de maintenir une habilitation de sécurité Qualifications (Anglais) Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 18+ years of job-related experience or equivalent, or 15+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree 10+ years of managerial experience Excellent communication skills; interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications are required.
