In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic development, execution, and optimization of the entire platform, which encompasses our devices, services and infrastructure, and the full data lifecycle from ingestion to consumption.As the Director, you will play a vital hybrid captain-coach role, acting as a strategist, individual contributor, and manager of Product Managers. You will shape the long-term vision for the platform, ensuring that technology advancements align with business needs and that we are building scalable systems capable of supporting over one million users. Collaborating closely with leaders in Hardware, Software, Cloud, AI, and Product Marketing, you will be accountable for the planning, delivery, and success of the platform roadmap. Your leadership will be critical in creating alignment across teams and transitioning the team to mature, strategy-driven product development practices.Key AccountabilitiesStrategy and RoadmapOwn the creation, evolution, and communication of the Mio One platform\'s prioritized roadmap and long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with our mission, business goals, and customer needs.Define and manage a comprehensive multi-year platform roadmap that supports the product line and software strategies of the business units consuming the platform\'s data and services.Develop a deep understanding of Miovision\'s product lines to derive a common set of platform capabilities for scalable and cohesive product development.Collaborate with technical product managers to define and manage platform requirements across hardware, operating systems, cloud/network core, and SW platform services/infrastructure.Oversee the strategy for data governance, including ingestion, storage, transformation, analysis, and consumption by various lines of business.Champion the user experience for developers and internal teams who consume the platform by owning the API strategy and developer experienceEnsure platform performance meets or exceeds system uptime and performance targets.Ensure the coordinated delivery of hardware, firmware, operating systems, and device applications into product line roadmaps.Accountable for defining and driving the platform monetization strategy or business modelCollaborate deeply in technical architecture discussions, understanding system design trade-offs, and influence technical discussions to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the platformLead by example while hiring, managing, guiding, and mentoring a team of Product Managers and Product Owners in their growth and development.Foster strong product management practices and market-informed requirement development within your team.Build and refine scalable processes and frameworks to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and collaboration with other teams.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Executive Leadership to build a cohesive message across go-to-market activities.Influence and align cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales) around the platform vision and roadmap.Identify and drive strategic technology partnerships in collaboration with business developmentSkills/QualificationsExtensive product management experience, with a significant focus on platform, data, hardware and software solutionsProven experience scaling a software or data platform to over 1 million usersDemonstrated success in a senior product role responsible for a flagship platform or productDemonstrated ability to hire, manage, and mentor a team of product managers.Strong leadership, communication, and conflict management skills to build consensus with stakeholders.In-depth knowledge of edge computing architectures, IoT device management, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
