OverviewPsychologist - Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS)Fully Virtual or Hybrid with presence at Lifemark Physiotherapy Saint John (206-555 Somerset Street, Saint John NB E2K 4X2). Lifemark is excited about our new partnership with PCVRS, the national contractor for the administration and delivery of medical, psycho-social and vocational rehabilitation services with both multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams (i.e., physiotherapy, kinesiology, occupational therapy, vocational rehab specialist, case coordinators) and interdisciplinary mental health teams (psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists).This offers a greater opportunity to have a more consistent approach to care that is holistic and integrated, improving experiences for both providers and participants. The PCVRS work is one major component of this role; however, you will also be able to leverage your psychological competencies as a trusted subject-matter expert to apply evidence-based and process expertise to meaningful step-care mental health programs across the mental health continuum (prevention, monitoring and intervention).ResponsibilitiesEngaging in psychological (diagnostic) assessments in order to identify diagnoses, level of distress and functional impairment and recommend treatmentProviding psychological treatment for the more complex psychological conditions (anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, concurrent disorders) and psychosocial needsWorking autonomously, providing 1-1 psychological services, and working within interdisciplinary Mental Health teamsProviding supervision as appropriate to other psychologists and psychotherapistsProviding consultation to other team members and management on clinical cases or practice dilemmaDeveloping new mental health program content for the unique needs of various client groupsLeveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeuticsBringing your unique assessment competencies to a range of applications, from pre-employment suitability assessments for high-risk occupations to diagnostic assessments to guide treatment and psycho-social resource buildingConsulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teamsContributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussionsEducation and licensureMaster’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited universityCurrent registration in good standing with the provincial College/Board of Psychologists (competency with adult populations; clinical (asset: counselling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology))Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employmentApplied ExperienceConducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planningProviding various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approachesDeveloping and evaluating mental health programs is considered an assetWorking in interdisciplinary teams and with third party payers is considered an assetUtilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an assetAdditional AbilitiesExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAble to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teamsEfficient with required clinical documentationAble to manage a diverse caseload within dynamic work settingVisitwww.lifemarkhealthgroup.ca or email careers@lifemark.ca for additional information about the company.InclusionWe are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
