We support remote work as part of our strategy to reduce carbon footprint and improve work-life balance.Reports to: Team Lead, Engineering ManagerBased at: Regional OfficePosition Purpose: Working closely with the Team Lead, Branch Manager or Engineering Manager, lead on various projects, and maintain the technical capability and production requirements of the service line.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze existing data to forecast business decisions regarding budget forecasting, budget variances, client profitability, risk management and report findings to the Engineering Manager or Director, Engineering Services as appropriate.Work as the Relationship Manager or Technical Specialist to provide finished projects to clients in a timely manner.Plan or review projects requiring substantial manpower and financial investment.Establish basic operating standards and accomplish objectives in the most economical manner to manage unusual conditions.Understand and participate in resolving issues with cost control, non-recoverable expenditures, and utilization.Communicate effectively with team members.Act as a mentor/coach to teammates and share expertise with other offices.Maintain technical capability and provide technical expertise on projects.Collaborate to increase the overall technical capability of the service line.Identify completed projects in your service line eligible for technical awards and ensure submissions.Work with Project Managers, Branch Manager, Engineering Managers, Relationship Managers and Directors to secure large multi-company projects.Build and maintain a well-developed network of colleagues to solve engineering problems.Stay current with changes in own service line.Stamp project design and reports for engineers in training when providing peer review.Promote, clarify, and embody WE Purpose and Core Values.Adhere to company policies, safety policies, and client safety practices in effect.Maintain eligibility to apply for a Federal security clearance for institutional projects as required.Leadership roles require obtaining the Leadership in Safety Excellence certificate as part of the role.Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringP.Eng. status with the appropriate provincial associationMay hold a Master’s Degree in Engineering15 Years of experienceSkills And CapabilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills; listens well, respects diverse opinions, and communicates clearly and succinctly.Effective organizational and time management skills for handling multiple projects and deadlines.Ability to represent the company to teammates, clients, and community with a professional image.Familiarity with WE systems and programs (including MS Office 365, SharePoint, Deltek Vision, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, AGI 32 Software).Understanding of marketplace trends to contribute to marketing planning.Holds a senior position in technical or business association.Understanding of viability across other service line designs.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Williams Engineering Canada Inc. by 2xGet notified about new Senior Electrical Engineer jobs in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.Note: This description reflects current requirements; the company may update requirements over time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
