Reporting to the Shift Lead, the AME‑M is a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer responsible for performing line and heavy maintenance on multiple aircraft types, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Transport Canada regulations. Responsibilities Perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems including hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, pneumatics, fuel, and electrical systems. Conduct preflight, postflight, and daily inspections, perform system and engine functional checks, and clear logbook discrepancies. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical documents to determine repair methods and ensure airworthiness compliance. Inspect and assess aircraft components and structures per maintenance programs, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins. Replace or repair defective parts, perform cable tension adjustments, and complete operational tests on systems and engines. Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and submitted for certification as required. Apply safe work practices at all times and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Mentor and support apprentices by sharing technical knowledge and promoting professional standards. Comply with company tool control, quality assurance, and health and safety procedures. Qualifications Valid Transport Canada AME‑M license. 0–2+ years of experience in aircraft line or heavy maintenance. Ground Operating (AVOP) and Radio Operator licenses. Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Willingness to obtain aircraft type endorsements and additional company training.
