The main function of the UX Researcher is to conduct quantitative research on customers’ needs, preferences, and behaviors related to a product or service. A typical UX researcher is responsible for conducting surveys, segmentation studies, and product analytics reviews, documenting the output, and analyzing the data to generate insights and recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in designing and conducting quantitative research studies, including surveys, segmentation studies, A/B tests and product analytics reviews.
  2. Document the output of the interviews in well-organized and detailed notes.
  3. Analyze the quantitative data to identify patterns, themes, and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Create presentations and reports to communicate the findings and recommendations to engineers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the research insights are incorporated into the product development process.

Skills:

  1. Verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer empathy.
  2. Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  3. Expertise in quantitative research methods, such as designing and analyzing surveys, segmentation studies, A/B tests and product analytics using inferential statistics.
  4. Proficiency in quantitative data analysis using inferential statistics (e.g. t-tests, ANOVA, factor analysis, regression analysis) to identify trends, patterns and user behaviors.
  5. Experience in creating compelling presentations and reports using software tools.
  6. Previous experience with quantitative data analysis tool.

Education/Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or equivalent training required.
  2. 5-7 years of experience working as a UX Researcher on consumer products required.
