What you can expect to do here: You’ll verify project scope with the Lead; monitor project changes and promptly inform Lead of updates. Be able to provide realistic time estimates for your tasks. Develop a strong understanding of WSP’s and Client’s standard drawings, specifications, general practices, and procedures. With minimal supervision, you’ll develop accurate structural engineering drawings including piling layouts/schedules, concrete layouts/details, structural steel layouts/details and architectural building drawings – based on engineering sketches. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and other disciplines such as Piping and Electrical to coordinate design development, identify and resolve issues. Contribute actively to the checking process by critically reviewing markups. Use various 3D/CAD software to produce Bills of Material and Pile Schedules. Implement revisions based on markups from Engineers, Checkers, and Leads. Maintain organised filing systems for drawings and models per department, project, and client guidelines. You’ll assist in the training of less experienced drafting personnel. Visit Construction site to assist in construction reviews, if required. You’ll help foster a supportive and communicative team environment characterised by ownership and camaraderie. What you’ll bring to WSP: Engineering Design & Drafting Technology (EDDT) diploma 4+ years of relevant experience. Proficient in AutoCAD, CADWorx, SP3D, Navis, MS Office, Bluebeam and SharePoint. Diligent and organised: deliver high‑quality work on time and consistently meet deadlines. Adaptable multitasker: effectively juggle priorities in a fast‑paced setting. Enthusiastic problem‑solver: embrace challenges and proactively find solutions. Communicator and learner: clearly convey and comprehend technical, business, and administrative ideas.
