We’re now looking for a Controller to join our growing leadership team — a financial professional who thrives in a dynamic, project‑driven environment. The Opportunity Reporting to the President, the Controller will oversee the full accounting cycle and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across all divisions. You’ll play a key role in improving financial processes, maintaining compliance, and supporting senior management in strategic decision‑making and long‑term planning. Key Responsibilities Manage all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, job costing, and general ledger Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations Maintain and update monthly accounting schedules, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all balance sheet accounts Oversee job cost reports, progress billings, and WIP reporting Lead budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management Coordinate year‑end processes, including external audits, working papers, and tax filings Ensure compliance with CRA, WSIB, EHT, HST, T4s, T5s, and T5018 Liaise with banks, insurance providers, group benefits, RRSP/DPSP administrators, and legal counsel Support SR & ED claim documentation and related reporting Supervise accounting staff, providing leadership, training, and development Identify opportunities for process improvement and internal control enhancement Qualifications Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting or controller role Experience in construction or project‑based accounting (progress billing, holdbacks, percentage of completion) is an asset Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sage accounting software Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Why Join Us Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive health and dental benefits Group RRSP/DPSP with employer contributions A supportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunities for professional growth and leadership development Apply Now If you’re a hands‑on financial leader who wants to make an impact in a fast‑growing construction company, we’d love to hear from you.
