Child and Family Support Practitioner – 6‑month contract ENVIROS – Who We Are Enviros is an innovative social services agency that provides critical, individualized programs to children, youth, adults, and families in vulnerable situations to meet their desired outcomes and wellness. Enviros helps clients make strength‑based changes to move to independence within a healthy community. It focuses programs on the unique needs of individual clients, practicing experiential learning to provide opportunities for personal discovery and growth. Relationships are the foundation of our programs, enabling clients to develop skills, healthy trust, and independence. Since our founding in 1976, Enviros has been an early adopter of evidence‑based best practices and has developed and informed other best practices. The Program – Connects The Connects Program is a four‑bed Live‑In Program for youth ages 6‑12 who have status with Children’s Services. It offers a recreation, life‑skills, and relationship‑based program with an average stay of 1 year. The program creates a sense of safety where children can name their feelings, develop coping strategies, build community, and engage in age‑appropriate physical activity and play. Children work through childhood trauma and challenging behaviors to succeed in future foster placement or a successful transition back to their family (parental or kinship setting). Programming focuses on cultivating belonging, providing structure, routine, life skills, physical activity, and strong positive relationships that are key to success. The Position – Child and Family Support Practitioner The Child and Family Support Practitioner provides supervision and support to young people residing in the program and is a member of the team ensuring treatment plans are implemented. All workers are expected to assist with daily household routines and chores, minor facility maintenance, and direct child support. Practitioners must have a good working knowledge of computer programs and be skilled with basic office applications, as daily administrative and case‑management tasks are part of this role. Strong communication and de‑escalation skills. Education and Experience Applicants should have at least a degree/diploma in the Human Service field, experience with youth in a group living environment, awareness of trauma‑informed practices, and be professional, reliable and able to work independently. Other Qualifications Current First Aid and CPR C. Current Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sectors Designation. Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clear driving record.
