The NPI (New Product Introduction) Manager oversees the process of bringing a new product (or existing product with obsolete process) from design to optimized customer production and final deliveries, including first article approval and full industrialization to meet targeted financial and quality metrics as per design. By coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, budgets, and risks to ensure successful product launches that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. The NPI Manager oversees the process of bringing a new product from design to optimized customer production and final deliveries, including first article approval and full industrialization to reach targeted financial and quality metrics as per design. By coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, budgets, and risks to ensure successful product launches that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Key responsibilities include leading project planning, communicating with stakeholders and senior management, resolving issues, driving design for manufacturability (DFM), and working with production partners and the supply chain.ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming of all the Machining Operations using innovative techniques to guarantee a light out process (close doors)Process Development & Validation: Develop, innovate, and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring they are validated and compliant with regulatory and quality requirements.Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate teams across design, engineering, quality assurance, marketing, and operations to ensure smooth product introductions.Project & Budget Management: Set project timelines and budgets, manage project financial expenditures, and request funding for capital equipment.Technical Oversight: Provide technical leadership for manufacturing aspects of new products, including during quotations, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and resolve technical issues to prevent project delays.Continuous Improvement: Implement quality and efficiency measures, such as Lean and Six Sigma, and provide training on new equipment and processes.Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with management and stakeholders to provide project updates and manage expectations.Technology Transition: Lead the technology transfer process to the sustaining production team once a product is ready for full production.Ensure programs comply with AS9100, customer, specific quality standards, and regulatory requirements.RequirementsBachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or MSc from a four-year college or university; preferred majors include mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent aerospace industry experience.Project Management Professional (PMP) is an assetLean Six Sigma – Green Belt an assetAS9100 knowledge and trainingExport Control / ITAR / Controlled Goods Training10+ years in Aerospace Manufacturing industry in a CNC Programmer roleStrong programming knowledge on machine deburring, probing, 3-4-5 axis milling, turn milling, tool laser measurement setup, vericut, SPC monitoring5+ years of experience in CNC programming on Inconel, titanium or stainless componentsStrong Quality Engineer skills and familiarity with customer specs for aerospace companiesStrong knowledge on innovative cutting technologies on special materials including exotic alloysStrong knowledge of build-to-print manufacturing processes, including machining, special processes, and assemblyDeep knowledge with ERP/MRP systems and how to extract data from itExcellent time management skills with proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks under pressureSolid organizational skills, detail oriented, diligent, thorough, accurate and professional as needed for a business support roleStrong customer service skills with confidence to interact with senior customer representativesExcellent influencing skills and the ability to drive actions to closure by seeing problems through to completion with a high emphasis on ownershipAbility to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and listening skills; ability to relay information clearlyWork safely, adhere to Health and Safety policy and maintain a high level of 5S for a clean and safe work environmentStrong knowledge of APQP and PPAP standards for machining products and processesDeep knowledge of reading blueprints and tolerances and GD&TGood knowledge of CMM programming techniques and advanced measurement toolsBetter Talent.
