Job Description Project: Macassa Black Diamond Location: Kirkland Lake, ON Rotation: 14 days on, 14 days off Shift Length: 10 hours Allowance: Travel and Accommodations Benefits: Redpath offers comprehensive benefits including but not limited to health, dental and vision care, life insurance, pension and employee assistance program Pre-employment requirement: Drug test Duration: Approximately 3 months Job Summary The primary role of the Alimak (Mechanized) Raise Miner is to construct and maintain underground raise installations, performing various tasks such as constructing mechanized raise set ups, scaling loose rock, drilling, All work is to be completed following best practices set out in the Redpath Mechanized Raising Guidelines Manual. Responsibilities Operate Mechanized Raise Climber Construct and maintain underground installations as face advances Perform tasks such as constructing MRC installations, scaling loose rock, drilling, installing MRC rails, installing services as required Read and interpret mine plans Install ground support Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
