Engineered Power is a market-leading manufacturer of lithium metal battery cells primarily utilized in high vibration/shock environments. The company specializes in primary lithium thionyl chloride and lithium sulfuryl chloride chemistries and produces a variety of cylindrical form factors for use in the energy sector and other specialized markets. The Quality Control Manager is a hands‑on, problem‑solving manager responsible for the quality control department. The manager works closely with Engineering, New Product Introduction, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to drive continuous quality improvement. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of quality systems as they pertain to cell assembly in a high‑volume, high‑product‑mix capacity environment or an equivalent industry. Key Responsibilities & Tasks Launch, manage, and certify a manufacturing facility ISO quality system Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products and production equipment Manage internal audits of processes Handle customer RMAs Manage and qualify approved suppliers Ensure that products adhere to quality standards Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data Work according to deadlines for product delivery Train and manage production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods Track products through the manufacturing process to guarantee correct part of the process Perform detailed and recorded inspections of final products so products meet industry and company standards Eliminate products that are not up to standards and find the reasons for product problems Perform other duties outside the scope of work as assigned and required Qualifications B.S. in an engineering discipline or equivalent Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Effective communication with technical and non‑technical team members Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment Experience in new product introduction launches Experience setting up and maintaining quality systems Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage large teams Ability to adapt to and make decisions based on manufacturing data Minimum 5 years of experience in a mix of engineering and production environments Strong Microsoft Office application skills, including Excel Experience in a high‑volume, high‑product‑mix environment Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Quality Assurance Industries Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
