Wildlife Technicians and Biologists Stantec, Prince George, British Columbia, Canada – Join a team that turns the environment into science. Key projects include amphibian salvage, bear den surveys, and bat maternity roost and hibernacula surveys in remote parts of British Columbia. Capabilities and Credentials We consider applicants at all experience levels – Junior (< 3 years), Intermediate (3–9 years), and Senior (10+ years). Wildlife Field Technician Technical degree or diploma in environmental science or biological sciences General knowledge of local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Comfortable working on construction sites in remote locations for 2–3 weeks at a time Team player with a proactive and open‑minded attitude Wildlife Field Crew Lead Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, biology, forestry, or related field General knowledge of local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Experience collecting biological and environmental field data (wildlife program experience is an asset) Excellent communicator, leader, and problem‑solver with a positive attitude and attention to detail Comfortable working in construction environments and directing a small team in remote locations for 2–3 weeks at a time Intermediate and Senior Wildlife Biologists Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, biology, forestry, or related field Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Experience with one or more of the following: amphibian salvage, bear den surveys, bat maternity roost and hibernacula surveys Key Responsibilities Conduct wildlife monitoring and data collection in remote construction sites Perform amphibian salvage, bear den, and bat surveys in accordance with regulatory requirements Assist in mitigating environmental effects on wildlife and contribute to responsible development in British Columbia Maintain accurate field records and prepare reports for clients and regulatory agencies Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams in office and field environments Benefits Summary Regular full‑time and part‑time employees (≥20 hours per week) receive health, dental, vision, wellness, retirement savings, stock purchase, and other benefits.
