Together, we are EXP.ResponsibilitiesCarry out pavement testing, sampling and evaluations with specialized equipmentConduct field investigations and inspections to assess the condition of existing pavementsSupervision of drilling, soil sampling and identificationPreparation of borehole logs and location plansExperience or ability to understand and interpret utility locatesWork closely with contractors, consultants and municipal personnelCoordinate project tasks with team members, stakeholders, and subcontractors, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations are metAssist project manager or engineers to prepare engineer reports, construction specifications, drawings and cost estimatesCarry out field inspections to verify quality of construction works and materials compliancesProvide technical and management assistance for engineering projects from residential, commercial or municipalities projectsMonitoring site grading activities (including limited surveying)Explore the material testing of pavement and geotechnical field activitiesWhat Your Experience Looks LikeBachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringRegistered as an EIT with PEOPrevious relevant experience in pavement design/testing, geotechnical investigation/drilling, material testing, survey, drafting is an asset (including co-op work terms)Previous experience in reading and interpretation of construction drawings, specification and tender documentsValid G driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Ontario job sites occasionallyStrong experience in Microsoft Office; working experience with AutoCAD and other Pavement Design or Civil Engineering related software will be an assetManage assigned work, ensuring effective teamwork, communication, high standards of work quality, organizational performance and continuous learningProven experience in project coordination and subcontractor managementStrong written and communication skillsAbility to work in various weather conditions for field investigations and ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbsEquity and AccommodationEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
